Introducing Anyawen Agnes Apaseimi — Chief Executive Officer, GCYE

The Ghana Chamber of Young Entrepreneurs (GCYE) is pleased to introduce Anyawen Agnes Apaseimi as its Chief Executive Officer, bringing to the role over a decade of experience in enterprise development, inclusive business, marketing, agribusiness and donor-funded programme delivery across Ghana and beyond. Agnes is a seasoned marketing and agribusiness specialist with extensive experience supporting entrepreneurs, SMEs and agricultural businesses to build sustainable and inclusive enterprises. Her professional journey has taken her across the areas of enterprise development, inclusive agribusiness, business advisory, training, grants management and programme implementation. She spent six years working with the 2SCALE programme, where she served first as a BoP Marketing Consultant and later as a BoP Marketing Specialist and Inclusive Agribusiness Advisor with IFDC/Bopinc, based in Tamale. In this role, she coordinated field interventions across Ghana and supported the development of inclusive agricultural value chains. Her work focused on integrating gender, youth and environmental sustainability into agribusiness interventions while facilitating stakeholder engagements, workshops and capacity-building programmes. She also supported programme planning, budget development, monitoring and the implementation of inclusive business strategies. Following the transition of the 2SCALE programme, Agnes supported SNV during the programme close-out process, contributing to final donor documentation and the certification of three supported SMEs as Inclusive Businesses. Agnes has also made significant contributions to entrepreneurship development and SME capacity building across Africa. As a trainer and business advisor with CEO Africa, she designed and delivered programmes in entrepreneurship, leadership, marketing, branding, packaging and investment readiness for SMEs across six African countries. She also served as a business advisor under the Mastercard Foundation FAST initiative, supporting entrepreneurs to strengthen their businesses and prepare for growth and investment opportunities. Her professional experience also includes grants management with IFDC's Agriculture Technology Transfer Project, where she supported grantee documentation, compliance requirements, financial reporting and donor audits. Her earlier career spans administrative, customer service and client relations roles across the banking, telecommunications and public sectors. Beyond her institutional experience, Agnes is an entrepreneur and the founder of A&J MarketForge Consulting & Events, an Accra-based consultancy that supports SMEs with business registration and compliance, growth advisory, marketing and branding, proposal writing, training and enterprise development. Agnes holds an MSc in Agribusiness Management and a BSc in Business Administration (Marketing) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). She also holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Marketing from Tamale Technical University. As CEO of GCYE, Agnes brings a combination of practical enterprise development experience, inclusive business expertise and a strong understanding of the challenges facing young entrepreneurs and SMEs. Her leadership is expected to strengthen GCYE's work in advancing youth entrepreneurship, supporting business growth, building strategic partnerships and creating greater opportunities for young entrepreneurs across Ghana.
