Sherif Ghali, Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Chamber of Young Entrepreneurs (GCYE), was honored with a special citation by the University of Cape Coast’s Atlantic Hall after delivering the keynote address at their Leadership and Entrepreneurship Summit held on June 14, 2025.
Speaking on the topic “Youth in Entrepreneurship: Breaking Down Barriers and Achieving Success,” Mr. Ghali addressed hundreds of student leaders with a powerful message centered on building bold solutions, owning the entrepreneurial journey, and holding systems accountable. He highlighted the critical role that youth must play—not tomorrow, but today—in shaping Ghana’s innovation ecosystem.
During his remarks, Mr. Ghali spotlighted GCYE’s work in breaking systemic barriers and supporting young entrepreneurs through:
- STEP (Student Entrepreneurship Programme)
- YOFEP (Young Female Entrepreneurs Programme)
- APPENT (Apprenticeship to Enterprise)
- YESS Fund (Youth Enterprise Support Scheme)
In recognition of his national impact and leadership, Atlantic Hall presented him with a citation that read:
“To our esteemed visionary entrepreneur, policy advocate, and outstanding leader… Your strategic focus on youth empowerment and national progress has advanced entrepreneurship across Ghana and beyond… Atlantic Hall proudly honors you for outstanding contributions to leadership, innovation, and inclusive development.”

This award serves as a reflection of GCYE’s growing influence in policy advocacy, entrepreneurial support, and youth empowerment across Ghana. We remain committed to ensuring every young person—whether in Accra, Tamale, or Cape Coast—has the tools and opportunity to lead from the front.
