GCYE Meets the Mastercard Foundation as Part of Its Renewed Partnership Engagement Tour

GCYE Meets the Mastercard Foundation

The Ghana Chamber of Young Entrepreneurs (GCYE) recently held a productive meeting with the team at the Mastercard Foundation, as part of the Chamber’s ongoing Renewed Partnership Engagement Tour — a deliberate series of strategic meetings and courtesy calls aimed at deepening collaboration across Ghana’s youth and entrepreneurship ecosystem.

The meeting, held at the Mastercard Foundation’s offices, brought together GCYE’s leadership and the Foundation’s programme leads for an open and forward-looking discussion. Conversations centred on the shared vision both organisations hold for young people: expanding access to opportunity, strengthening entrepreneurship, and supporting pathways to dignified and fulfilling work.

Both teams explored areas of natural synergy, noting several promising opportunities where GCYE’s mobilisation reach and the Foundation’s programmes could reinforce one another. While discussions remain at an exploratory stage, both sides expressed a strong willingness to continue engaging and to identify practical ways to work together going forward.

“At GCYE, we believe no single organisation can transform Ghana’s youth landscape alone,” said Sherif Ghali, CEO of the Ghana Chamber of Young Entrepreneurs. “Our meeting with the Mastercard Foundation is part of our renewed commitment to building partnerships that move from conversation to real, lasting impact for young entrepreneurs.”

The engagement reflects GCYE’s broader strategy of positioning itself as a connecting force within the ecosystem — bringing together funders, development partners, government, and the private sector around a common goal of empowering young entrepreneurs.

The Renewed Partnership Engagement Tour will continue in the coming weeks, with GCYE meeting a range of stakeholders committed to advancing youth development and entrepreneurship in Ghana and across the continent.

GCYE looks forward to building on the momentum from this meeting and to the possibilities that lie ahead.
