EVENT DETAILS
In Ghana, several laws apply to the operations of businesses. These laws are based on business activities, copyrights, patents, trademarks, disputes, and labour relations. Most SMEs in Ghana are not enlightened on these laws as they go about their businesses and mostly find themselves wanting.
An emerging online business trend also means online business owners do not have the knowledge to protect themselves from cyber-attacks.
Partnering with @SNV Ghana’s EU-funded, #GrEEnProject, the Ghana Chamber of Young Entrepreneurs will be organising a Public-Private Dialogue (PPD) to provide a platform for SMEs, leaders of state-owned agencies and experts from diverse fields to dialogue on issues relating to business legality, the regulatory environment, and cyber security issues.
Representatives will include experts from the Registrar General’s Department, Ghana Revenue Authority, Food and Drugs Authority, and the Ghana Standards Authority. Selected participants will also be introduced to the concepts of digitization, cyber security, and green businesses.
