GIZ Donates Office Equipment to Enhance Ghana Chamber of Young Entrepreneurs’ Co-Working Space
The Ghana Chamber of Young Entrepreneurs (GCYE) has received a significant boost to its co-working space initiative following a generous donation of office equipment by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). The items, comprising five desktop computers, 15 office desks and chairs, and a printer, are set to enhance the functionality of the co-working space, which was launched earlier this year to provide a conducive working environment for young entrepreneurs across Ghana. The donation aligns with GIZ’s mission to support sustainable development and foster innovation among young entrepreneurs. The co-working space, a flagship initiative of the GCYE, was established to address the critical need for affordable and well-equipped workspaces for startups and small businesses, offering young entrepreneurs a collaborative environment to grow and thrive. In a brief ceremony held at the GIZ green building, the items were officially handed over by Sarah Rueffler, Head Program (AV) of AgriBIZ project to the leadership of the Chamber. Speaking during the presentation, Sarah commended GCYE for its unwavering commitment to empowering young entrepreneurs and fostering innovation. “This donation is part of GIZ’s broader effort to strengthen youth entrepreneurship and create opportunities for sustainable economic growth. We believe the co-working space initiative will serve as a hub for creativity, collaboration, and business development,” the representative stated. The CEO of GCYE, Mr. Sherif Ghali, expressed profound gratitude to GIZ for their continued partnership and support. He emphasized the transformative impact the equipment will have on the operations of the co-working space and the entrepreneurial community it serves. “This generous contribution from GIZ is a game-changer for our co-working space and the young entrepreneurs who use it. It will not only improve the working conditions but also enhance productivity, enabling entrepreneurs to focus on building innovative and scalable businesses,” said Mr. Ghali. The co-working space initiative has already gained traction as a go-to resource for budding entrepreneurs, offering access to essential resources such as internet connectivity, training, and mentorship. With this latest addition of state-of-the-art equipment, the space is poised to accommodate more users and provide enhanced services to meet the growing needs of Ghana’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. GCYE remains committed to its mission of advocating for young entrepreneurs and facilitating the creation of a supportive environment that fosters innovation and business success. The Chamber continues to call on stakeholders and development partners to join hands in building a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem in Ghana. The co-working space is open to young entrepreneurs and startups across various sectors. Interested individuals can visit the GCYE website or contact the Chamber directly for more information on how to access this resource. This collaboration between GIZ and GCYE stands as a testament to the power of partnerships in driving sustainable development and empowering the next generation of business leaders in Ghana.
